Client Profile: School of Creative Wellness is a yin and restorative yoga studio founded by Susanna Edwards, offering in-person classes in Winchester alongside a rapidly growing online offering. The focus is on women who give a great deal to everyone around them and rarely pause for themselves, with live Sunday sessions, a library of on-demand classes, private one-to-one and group sessions, seasonal events and workshops, and a sponsorship programme supporting vulnerable women.
Client’s Objective: The client came to us from Squarespace, where she was paying a premium for a platform that still wasn’t giving her what she actually needed. Bookings, memberships, on-demand content and her shop all had to work together, and the existing setup simply couldn’t join those pieces up. What she wanted was a site built around the way her business genuinely runs, rather than one she had to work around.
Project Scope: We carried out a full overhaul, moving the business onto a custom WordPress website built with Avada and bringing every strand of the offering into one connected platform.
WooCommerce powers the shop, covering online courses, physical products, gift vouchers and sponsorship options. Amelia handles the booking system for in-person Winchester studio classes, private sessions and workshops. WooCommerce Subscriptions runs the membership plans, with two tiers on rolling four-weekly billing: on-demand only, and live plus on-demand.
The real heart of this project was making all of those elements speak to each other. A member’s subscription tier now correctly controls what they can access, whether that is the on-demand video library, the live Sunday classes, or both, and every member has a single account covering video access, booking management and order history. It is a highly functional site, and getting each of those systems working together seamlessly was where the detail of the build really sat.
We also migrated her blog and resources section across. These give her clients somewhere to find genuine information and support, while building the kind of content foundation that strengthens the site’s SEO over time.
Future Prospects: Because this is a custom build rather than an off-the-shelf platform, there is real room to grow. The structure supports adding more products, courses and offerings without needing a rebuild, and the blog and resources give a strong base for ongoing SEO work to bring new students in through search.
Conclusion: School of Creative Wellness now has a platform built entirely around how the business actually works. Bookings, memberships, on-demand content and the shop all speak to each other, and Susanna has a website that grows with her rather than one she has to work around.
