Preeti Shukar, Founder, The Women’s Football Academy
Client Profile: The Women’s Football Academy (TWFA), founded by Preeti Shukar, is an inspiring initiative dedicated to empowering young women, particularly from the South Asian community, to get involved in football. Drawing from her own professional playing career and coaching experience, Preeti is on a mission to break barriers, increase representation, and inspire confidence in the next generation of female footballers.
Client’s Objective: Preeti approached us to create a complete brand and online presence that reflected the power, strength, and inclusivity behind the Women’s Football Academy. She wanted a platform that not only introduced who she is and what the academy stands for but also inspired and connected with young women looking to take part. The website needed to include her story, the academy’s vision, and a space for future content such as blog posts and football updates.
Project Scope: We began by designing a bold new brand identity for TWFA. The logo features a sleek, white “TWFA” wordmark accompanied by an icon of a female footballer in motion, symbolising empowerment, determination, and movement. The brand aesthetic is intentionally dark yet punchy, using strong contrasts and energetic visuals to convey power, resilience, and the spirit of women in sport.
With this foundation, we designed and developed a bespoke WordPress landing page that brings the brand to life. The site shares Preeti’s journey, the purpose of the Women’s Football Academy, and a clear call to action for those looking to get involved. Featuring photos, video content, and strong typography, the design communicates both professionalism and passion.
We also built a blog section that’s ready to launch when the academy begins publishing content. This area will allow TWFA to share news, insights, and motivational stories about women in football, with a particular focus on inspiring young South Asian women to take part in the sport.
Future Prospects: The TWFA platform is built to grow alongside the academy. As more initiatives, events, and partnerships take shape, the site will evolve into a hub for education, community, and empowerment. The bold visual identity and website together provide a strong foundation for the academy to build recognition and continue inspiring young women across the UK.
Conclusion: This project brought the Women’s Football Academy’s mission to life through both impactful branding and a purpose-driven website. With a powerful visual identity and a digital platform designed to grow with them, TWFA is now perfectly positioned to champion representation and inspire more women and girls to step onto the pitch.
