Client Profile: Alison Cooper is a talented illustrator and artist based in the Whitchurch Longparish area, known for her detailed hand-drawn illustrations of villages, towns, and local landmarks. Her artwork is brought to life across a range of products including prints, cards, jigsaw puzzles, and tea towels, as well as bespoke commissions for personal gifts, weddings, and special occasions.
Client’s Objective: As Alison’s business began to grow, she wanted to expand her reach with a digital platform that could showcase her artwork, highlight her commission services, and allow her to sell products online, particularly in time for the busy Christmas season. She needed an affordable but professional website that could evolve with her business over time, offering flexibility for future updates and new features.
Project Scope: We designed and built a WordPress e-commerce website using the Avada theme, providing Alison with a solid foundation to sell her products and showcase her work. The site was structured as a three-page layout, perfectly suited to her current needs while leaving plenty of room for future expansion.
The homepage gives an overview of Alison’s story and her artistic style, featuring a selection of her beautiful illustrations and best-selling products. The Commissions page explains her bespoke artwork offerings, from personalised gifts to wedding illustrations, while the Shop page enables visitors to browse and purchase her products directly online.
We also provided Alison with a free 30-minute training session to show her how to manage her shop, add new products, and make simple updates to the website. This empowers her to take control of her platform while knowing that ongoing support is available as her business grows.
Future Prospects: The website is designed to grow alongside Alison’s business. Plans for 2026 include adding a blog section, which will help her connect with customers in a more personal way and improve her SEO. The current structure provides a strong digital presence for her to showcase her art, attract new commissions, and make online sales with ease.
