In 2024, we had the honour of being shortlisted for the Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards in the Young Entrepreneur of the Year category, and what a milestone that was for us at Chell Web & Design!
While we didn’t take home the trophy, just being recognised by such a prestigious national awards programme was a huge achievement in itself and one we’re immensely proud of.
About the GBEA
Often referred to as the “Grammys of Entrepreneurship,” the Great British Entrepreneur Awards (GBEA) celebrate the stories of business owners from across the UK who are changing the game, showing exceptional innovation, growth, and determination.
With over 5,000 entries submitted each year, making it to the finalist stage is a big deal, and an incredible recognition of the work we do as a small, independently run studio.
What the Shortlisting Meant to Us
Our nomination in the Young Entrepreneur of the Year category was a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come. What began as a freelance side hustle during university has since grown into a full-time business, helping hundreds of clients build meaningful digital presences across the UK and beyond.
Being recognised by GBEA was more than just a tick-box moment. It was validation that our dedication, creativity, and vision are having a real impact. For a small team like ours, that means the world.

We may not have won this time, but being named a GBEA 2024 finalist has only fuelled our drive to continue pushing boundaries and supporting businesses through design, strategy, and creativity.
